Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Note 10.1

If you’re one of the folks who bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 or Galaxy Note 10.1, you probably run Android 4.0 ICS at the moment. However, you may have gone with the hacking route and flashed a custom ROM. If you didn’t, your patience paid off, as today the official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the two models leaked online.
SamMobile got their hands on the leaked official builds and
provide downloads and tutorials for them. These are not the final versions of the update, so they may have a few bugs. You could void your warranty or do something nasty to your tablet, in spite of the fact this is supposed to be leaked official software. Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 gets the software build version P3100DDBLI1, while the Note 10.1 build n umber is N8000DDALI1. Both bring Android 4.1.1. Instructions on how to bring the new software to the devices include making a backup of the data and downloading the base firmware required.
You’ll also need Odin 3.04 in the process and at some point you’ll restart the device into Recovery Mode and select Apply Update from External storage. I can only imagine how fast the Galaxy Note 10.1 will be with the update applied, especially since it has all the power a modern tablet can have, with quad core CPU and 2 GB of RAM.
