Last year iphone 4s introduced on October 4, but iphone 4s pre-orders begin on October 7. The United States and six other countries are the first countries to get the iPhone 4s on October 14, the second 22 other countries get the iPhone 4s on October 28, and 70 countries in the world  launch at the end of Dec.

iPhone 5 Confirmed for Nano-SIM

According to The Financial Times, some European mobile carriers were ordering the new nano-SIMs, which are expected to be used in Apple’s iPhone 5. BGR reports that carriers in the United States have already started testing these new Nano SIM cards and the iPhone 5 will come with this new smaller SIM card design. According to BGR sources, Apple is supplying carriers with nano-SIM adapters so they can test the cards on their networks that are otherwise only compatible with micro-SIM or full-size SIM cards.

Recent reports also indicate that European carriers are stocking up on the cards to prepare for Apple’s next iPhone 5. Now that Apple’s nano-SIM card standard has been approved by the European Telecommunications Institute (ETSI)  after reaching an agreement with major manufacturers. Apple was among the first to adopt the micro-SIM, which first made its debut on the iPhone 4, now that  new design is backward compatible with existing SIM cards and the approved nano-SIM design comes in at 12.3 x 8.8 x 0.67mm, the new cards are 40 per cent smaller than existing micro-SIMs.
Additionally, Apple can free up space for other things in the device, A Wall Street Journal article on Tuesday suggests that the iPhone 5 is going to be released with a thinner screen, using in-cell technology which integrates touch sensors into the LCD. it has also been reported that the iPhone 5 is on track to feature a larger screen with in-cell technology, a quad-core processor, a redesigned case and NFC.
The next-generation iPhone 5 should be out in the next few months, according to the iOS 6 website. The release date of Apple’s new mobile operating system iOS 6 is set in the fall of 2012, and we expect Apple to continue its annual upgrade ritual and launch the sixth generation of iPhone around the same time.

If the report proves to be true, the iPhone 5 is likely to sport a 4-inch display with better resolution and the screen could be comprised of just two layers(an LCD display and a glass panel) instead of the current three. According to latest rumours, the new iPhone 5 will be launched in August.
